New Plans? Sigh. Sound Familiar?

When you read the link to the following posting, remember that the Seattle district is about the same size as CCSD: A Waste of Editorial Space . Here's a taste to whet your appetite:
And so we wait. For more review outcomes and a new plan. The Plan to End All Plans. Sorry to be cynical but we've seen it before.

Oh, Jon we thought you had gone by the wayside. People are talking about real education hear not that touchy feely stuff you guys believe in.

Knowing what's going on in other school districts across the country is a good thing. We are not alone in our fight for excellent schools and exposing mediocre school administrators. Although I really feel for Seattle, we benefit when we put our heads together to share what we know. What's most disturbing is the discovery of just how many individuals and special interest groups have their hands deep into school funding. If this is really about education, the complete education of both our children and ourselves, then, "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." CEN, City Hall and the Chamber of Commerce would better serve the public if they paid more attention to the truth.

This message has just been sent by the District 20 Families group:

"CCSD has scheduled another community meeting for downtown. The meeting will take place Wednesday, February 27th at 7:00 pm Burke Library. Please plan
to attend if you can."

... another important meeting to discuss the newest CCSD plan for District 20! Be there, or others will decide your future for you.

Be there or be square - sorry folks, but I'm as cynical as Babbie. The decisions have already been made for you...haven't you been reading the paper?

you are right the decisions have already been made. When are people going to realize that the CCSD is incapalbe of ever telling the truth.

Well .. it appears that:

When a district seeks public input 99% of the time the decision has already been made. If they are doing any listening at all to your input, it is only to figure out how best to sell you their previously made but undisclosed decision.
