Isn't it ironic? A federal judge is worried that school prayers in the Greenville County School District violate the "constitutional right to freedom of religion."
You can't make this stuff up.
Somehow US District Judge Bruce Howe Hendricks, a Charleston native, has confused freedom of religion with freedom from religion. That's the gist of her worries over student-led prayers in the Greenville schools.
The plaintiff, the American Humanist Association, named Barney Frank as Humanist of the Year about the same time as this fight began.
Nuff said.
